Nigerians commend Army’s decision to buy 50,000 Aba made boots

The Nigerian Army’s purchase of 50,000 pairs of boots from local shoe manufacturers in Aba, Abia State, will strengthen the nation’s economy, a cross section of Nigerians in Awka have said.

Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria in separate interviews on Monday, the residents urged the manufacturers to maintain the quality of the boots in order to encourage patronage.

An Akwa-based businessman, Afam Okeke, said: “The Nigerian Army has done a good job by patronising made in Nigeria goods of this quantity.

“When other establishments of government do the same, the amount of money that will be in circulation will be much and will help ease us out of the current recession.
“What the Army has done – ordering 50,000 boots from a local manufacturer – is leading by example, which others should emulate,” Mr. Okeke said.

Stanley Ogba, a student, called on local manufacturers to maintain the standard they have set for their products.
“It will be hard for Nigerian Manufacturers to maintain the standard they used for their first products when there is more demand from the populists.

“The morale of our officers will be boosted if they wear boots that can withstand the vagaries of the thick forest, desert, and quagmire they have to go through for them to fight our enemies and protect our interests,” he added.

Anayo Ileka, a financial analyst, urged manufacturers in the country to apply global best practice in the production of their goods.
“In as much as the move will generate jobs for the teeming youths, buying made in Nigeria goods will also conserve foreign exchange.

“Even if their gain in the transaction is not much, local manufacturers should maintain the standard they have started with for it pays in the long run than lowering the quality of their products later on in an attempt to maximise profit,” he stated.

Protesting lawyers shut down parts of Abuja, want SSS to obey Court orders

Thousands of lawyers have stormed the streets of Abuja, in protest of the alleged continued disobedience of court orders by the State Security Service, SSS.

The lawyers, supported by members of the civil society community, have stormed the Federal High Court Headquarters in Maitama, the Attorney General’s office, National Human Rights Commission.
They are currently heading to the Three Arms Zone, which hosts the Aso Rock presidential villa, Supreme Court and the National Assembly, a witness said.

The lawyers say judges must not step down from cases involving the SSS as that would amount to victory for tyranny and intimidation.

They are also demanding that all judiciary workers to go on strike until the SSS obeys all pending judgments.

“Currently, major roads have been barricaded and there is palpable tension as the protesters meet heavy resistance from security agents who are blocking the protesters who are insisting on marching into Aso Rock,” a witness told PREMIUM TIMES.

The standoff is happening on the Road leading to the Three Arms Zone.
The SSS has been accused of disobeying several court orders since 2015.

The most notable cases involve the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, and the leader of the pro-Biafra group, Nnamdi Kanu.
Some judges have recently stood down from cases involving the SSS, following the arrest seven senior judges on allegation of corruption.

I made you a billionaire- Obasanjo tells African's richest woman, Folorunsho Alakija

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo yesterday told Mrs Folorunsho Alakija who is Africa’s richest woman, that his administration made her among the many billionaire Nigeria presently has.

The former President who was a guest speaker at the 2016 Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Forum, said this while reacting to claims by Alakija that the Obasanjo administration frustrated her moves to explore the oil sector after getting her oil license from the lae military dictator, Sani Abacha.
According to Alakija who was also a panelist, the Obasanjo administration illegally took an oil block allocated to her company after her family had invested all its savings to strike oil in commercial quantity. Vanguard quotes her as saying

“This oil block is in 5000 feet depth of water and was extremely difficult to explore. It took 15 years from the time that we were awarded the licence in 1993 till 2008 when we struck the first oil When this event happened, 60 per cent out of our 60 per cent equity in the business, was forcefully taken from us by the government of the day without due process. We had to fight back by going to court to seek redress and it took another 12 years for justice to be served in our favour. In all those years it was my trust in God, my perseverance and the support of my family that got me going,” she said. Obasanjo replied Alakija when he was given the microphone to speak at the event. He said

“There is a saying in my part of the world that when a proverb touches you and you failed to reply, then you are a coward. For you to come here and say that, for no cause whatsoever, you were denied what was rightfully yours, is not fair. I do not know you from Adam and there is no reason I would have denied you what rightfully belonged to you. So, you have struggled, and you have struck oil. God bless your heart. My delight is to be able to create Nigerian billionaire and I always say it that my aim, when I was in government was to create 50 Nigerian billionaires. Unfortunately I failed. I created only 25 and Madam, you are one of them” he said

Days after a female suicide bomber attacked the Bakassi IDP camp in Maiduguri, Borno state, a male suicide bomber attempted to attack the same IDP camp yesterday. Thankfully, he wasn't lucky as the troops moved in quickly to neutralize the bomb on him. According to a statement from the Army spokesperson, Col S.K Usman below...
At about 9.00am ths morning, troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE deployed behind Bakassi Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp, Damboa road, Maiduguri, on security duty, intercepted and killed a male suicide bomber who had attempted to sneak through the troops’ inner parapet towards the IDP camp.
The vigilant sentry sighted the bomber and laid in wait until the suicide bomber came close. The sniper instantly shot and killed the terrorists as he tried to force his way to the western flank of the IDP camp fence.

Don't bring Buhari into judges' arrest - The Presidency warned

The Presidency has advised journalists and other Nigerians to stop linking President Muhammadu Buhari to the legal travails of some recently arrested Judges in the country.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, said President Muhammadu Buhari would be the last person to authorize anybody to induce a Judge to pervert the course of justice.

Malam Shehu recalled that, despite his personal familiarity with some court Judges, the President had never used that familiarity to seek favors from them from 2003, 2007 and 2011 when he was challenging the fairness of the presidential election results during the periods in question.

The Senior Special Assistant also explained that, as a politician, Buhari had never once ever suggested to his lawyers to approach any Judge for assistance to win his cases. He said the President lives by this principle and has never deviated from it.

On the fate of the Judges facing corruption allegations, the Presidential Media Aide said the President doesn't tell Courts how to do their jobs and that anybody accused of corruption is protected by law to defend their innocence.
He explained that the purpose of the law is to punish the guilty and acquit the innocent, noting that the law protects the rights of everyone.

Shehu stressed that the President doesn't have any powers to force any court to convict anybody who is innocent, arguing that in a democratic society, that cannot happen without resistance by the people.

Time to Get Dirrty! Kylie Jenner Recreates Christina Aguilera’s 2002 Look for Round 2 of Halloween Fun

Kylie Jenner wants to get “Dirrty.”

The 19-year-old reality star went for a classic Halloween costume on Friday night when she and boyfriend Tyga dressed as spooky skeletons, but she switched things up for Saturday with a nostalgia-inducing throwback to Christina Aguilera‘s early days.
Although Jenner was only 5 years old when the pop star’s hit song “Dirrty” dropped, the Lip Kit mogul recreated the singer’s 2002 music video look right down to the blonde hair, nose piercing and chaps.

Not only did Jenner display her toned abs in a series of Instagram photos of her costume – she even showed off her best Xtina dance moves, getting down to the song that inspired the get-up.

“Can I be XTINA forever,” she captioned one video.

It’s no surprise that Jenner went all out on an amazing costume for her favorite holiday. On top of having her house decked out for All Hallow’s Eve since the end of September, she hosted a “dead dinner” for family and friends to kick off the weekend.

At the event, guests were treated to margaritas served in syringes and penne with creamy blood sauce while the theme to John Carpenter’s 1978 film Halloween played in the background.

U.K Court Jails Former Nigerian Cleaner Who Used Fake Passport To Falsely Claim £34k In Benefits

Adebola Adesanwo, 54, is a naturalised UK citizen but as a dual-national, also has a Nigerian passport. He had previously pleaded guilty to charges of possession of an identification document with intent and two counts of failing to disclose information to make a gain.
Newport Crown Court heard how Adesanwo, a former cleaner, had a second alias under a false, forged passport under the name of John Adepujo. The period of offending was separated into two timeframes – August 2007 to June 2008 and September 2009 and November 2015.

During that combined period, he falsely claimed £34,205.30, despite working at a cleaner at the time. Defending, Matthew Cobbe said that while the defendant’s action were illegal, he was not committing the fraudulent acts for person gain or greed.

“He was sending the funds back to his parents in Nigeria. As the eldest son, he felt compelled to do so,” said Mr Cobbe. The court heard that the defendant’s parents were both in ill-health, and before his appearance at magistrate’s court earlier this month, he found out his father had died from cancer.

Concluding, judge William Gaskell labelled the offences as ‘sophisticated’, adding that the defendant was claiming benefits on a forged passport, despite being a UK citizen, which would have entitled him to benefits any way.

He was given full credit for his early pleas of guilt, after the judge agreed that he had not used the money for his own use, but to help his family in Nigeria. He received a 10 month prison sentence, spending half in custody before being released on licence and will pay a victim surcharge of £100 on his release.

Terrific! See How A Child Kidnapper Was Burnt Alive In Imo State

In a classic fulfillment of the popular Nigerian saying, “many days for the thief, one day for the owner of the house,” a man who made kidnapping of little children his source of income has met his Waterloo in Imo State.

The notorious kidnapper, Osundu, better known by his nickname, Galaxy, who hailed from Umuduru Egbuaguru community in Onuimo Local Council Development Area and his gang got more than they bargained for at Umu-Ode in Ezelu Okwe another autonomous community in Onuimo LCDA on October 4, 2016 as he was not only caught but burnt alive by members of the community.

Galaxy had been a terror to the people as he specialized in the kidnapping of children for sale, a horrific and heinous act he carried out for over five months.

Galaxy and members of his gang had a practice of visiting Umu-Ode Ezelu on the communities market day, when most people would have gone to the Afo Ezu in Umuna, and particularly at such hours when there would probably be no adult person around to confront them. They would then abduct any child they could see. But on that fateful day, October 4, their cup of iniquity filled up and spilled over, when the gang abducted the male child of a street trader, Mrs. Elesius Duru alias Nwunye Onyibo and zoomed off.

The woman let out a blood-cuddling scream of anguish, with all the power that heaven transmitted into voice. The high decibel of her cry of pain arrested the attention of youths in the area and members of the Imo Security Network, who pursued the gang with motorcycles and a bus. The youths overtook the gang’s getaway bus and forced it to run into a ditch by roadside. They immediately rescued the child from the gang although the little boy had sustained a small wound on his head. The little boy was handed over to his parents who immediately took him to the St. Joseph Hospital in Okwelle for treatment. But the irate youths took custody of Galaxy, the leader the gang and one of his members, and after questioning them, they instantly administered jungle justice by setting the duo ablaze even before the police arrived at the scene.

An indigene of the community who pleaded anonymity explained that the youths took the decision because of their conviction that the duo would have been set free if they had been handed over to the police.

He said that Galaxy had been a thorn in the flesh of the community and everyone had been on the look out for the gang, hoping to catch them red-handed.

He explained further: “They normally come when most people have either gone to the market or to the farms and kidnap any child around and disappear. For the past five months we have had lost children suspected to have been kidnapped by Osundu and his group. So, they came as usual on the Afor Ezu market knowing that most people would have gone to the market and snatched the two-year old son from Nwunye Oyigbo while she was selling on the street. But this time they did not escape as youths and the members of the Imo Security Network pursued and caught them even though some of them ran away. We were able to get the leader Osundu and one other person and set them ablaze.”

However, narrating her ugly experience, Mrs. Elesius told Sunday Sun: “When they came to where I was selling I thought they wanted to buy something from me but it was when one of them carried my son Ikechukwu who was sitting beside me to the car they came with that I started shouting as they drove away. My scream alerted the people around and immediately some of the youths and okada riders (commercial motorcyclists), including the members of the Imo Security Network started to pursue them and eventually caught up with them. “I thank God that my son was rescued alive even though he sustained a minor injury on his head. I quickly took him to St. Joseph Hospital where he was treated.”

But a twist was added to the situation when the father of the child, Mr. Elesius Duru fainted after being informed that this first child and son had been kidnapped. It took the prompt action of people nearby to revive him.

Breaking: Nigerian Writes Mark Zuckerberg Via DHL, Accuses Facebook Of Helping Buhari To Crackdown On Opposition Voices In Nigeria

A Facebook user and a well known and out spoken Buhari Critic with the name Amonia Rita Stewart has written Facebook Chief Executive Officer, Mark Zukerberg, when her Facebook account was blocked and denied access in what she represented as “an undue closure of her account”.
Recall that few days past Facebook deleted the popular Radio Biafra London cluster with over one Million participating Members and additionally removed a number of the BIAFRS/IPOB activists, eg: Uche Mefore.

Amonia highlighted the likelihood of her account being blocked as a result of she may be a critic of the Buhari administration and appealed to Zuckerberg to unblock her account.
Amonia became a sensation together with her usual morning teaser “Morning Tea” that has attracted her 5000 Facebook friends and over 8000 followers. Her video post on “how to create a soup” was shared over 7000 times with quite a hundred,000 views.

Amonia, an unrepentant critic of the Buhari government, suspects that her account may be a victim of the Buhari’s led government’s crackdown on opposition online voices on social media.

My Administration Will Return Nigeria To Good Old Days Of Accountability - President Buhari To Director Shell Global Upstream At The State House

President Buhari receives Director Shell Global Upstream Mr Andrew Brown at the State House on 25th October 2016 and also restated the determination of his administration to restore the country to the “good old days of accountability”.
Speaking at a meeting Tuesday with the Director, Global Upstream of Shell Oil Company at the State House, Abuja, President Buhari said he will leave a legacy of improved infrastructure, particularly in the power sector, and also ensure better security in the Niger Delta.

“It is only by doing this that investor morale and confidence will return, and the economy will be positioned on the path of growth,” the President said.

President Buhari, who commended Shell for their faith in the economy and staying power, gave assurances on some issues of concern raised by the company.
On the protracted issue of cash calls, the President assured that the Federal Executive Council will soon consider a proposal for the easing of unpaid arrears owed by the government.

President Buhari said that the security of oil infrastructure will continue to be prioritized side-by-side with dialogue with the stakeholder-communities in the Niger Delta.

He, however, urged oil companies to take more responsibility in the protection of oil installations to complement the efforts of Nigerian Navy in the region.

In his remarks, the Shell Director, Mr. Andrew Brown, informed the President of the resumption of oil exportation through the Forcados terminal following its restoration.
He called for continued protection by the Nigerian Navy in view of repeated threats of attack by militants.

Brown commended the anti-corruption posture of the Buhari administration as well as the efforts to streamline and stabilize the economy for long term projects, saying all the efforts will go a long way to reinforce Shell investment plans in Nigeria.

Enough Of Militancy! President Buhari makes another move to end militancy in N'Delta

PARIS, 27 OCTOBER, 2016 (DGW). In a bid to find a lasting solution to the ongoing militancy in the Niger Delta that has disrupted oil production and supplies, President Muhammadu Buhari has called a face-face meeting with leaders of the restive region.
This meeting is scheduled for next week and to hold in Abuja, Nigeria.
The disclosure was made by the Minister of State (Petroleum), Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu but did not mention exactly (venue) where the meeting will hold and who are to preside over the meeting.

Just In: Buhari In Tears As Judge ‘Abandons’ EFCC’s Case, Over Fear Of Patience Jonathan

Unable to withstand the over 100 protesters mainly Ijaw women, who stormed the Federal High Court premises in Lagos, Justice Babs Kuewumi, on Wednesday, October 26, had to tactically abandon the case brought forward by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, against former First Lady, Patience Jonathan.
The women stormed the court premises, chanting songs of protest, calling for the former First Lady’s accounts to be unfrozen.
The Ijaw women, who were dressed in traditional attires, were armed with several placards, with numerous inscriptions.

Some of the inscriptions read: “Ijaw people are in solidarity with Jonathan”, “Unfreeze ex-President Jonathan’s wife’s account”.
“We urge EFCC to abide by the rule of law”, and “Women must be heard.”

Some of the women expressed loudly their concern over the enforcement of women’s rights, as well as those of the ex-First Lady.
Immediately after the court rose, they trooped to a vehicle provided by Mrs. Jonathan’s team, chanting songs of solidarity, and boldly displaying their placards.

Recall, that the former First Lady, is demanding the sum of $200 million from the Commission, as damages for infringing on her rights.
When the case was called, Rotimi Oyedepo, announced his appearance for the EFCC, while Granville Abibo (SAN), announced his appearance for Mrs. Jonathan.

Addressing the court, Oyedepo, informed the Judge that the matter was coming up for the first time, adding that, some of the respondents were yet to be served with the court’s processes.
He submitted that the matter was not yet “ripe for hearing”, having been served with the processes on October 19, and was yet to file a response.

Consequently, Justice Kuewumi fixed December 7, for hearing of the case.

Why I Cannot Arrest Amaechi For Corruption – Buhari Blows Hot, Shocks The World

Following Rotimi Amaechi reaction to exposes Buhari should he arrest him for corruption charges, President Buhari-led All Progressives Congress, APC, has on Wednesday, October 26, disclosed that there is no evidence of corruption against any of its member, as speculated in various quarters.
The party said this on behalf of the President, also challenged anybody with proof of corruption, to bring it forward.

This was contained in a statement by the APC Deputy National Chairman (South), Segun Oni, where he maintained that the ongoing corruption crusade, must be maintained.
He said: “Anybody with corruption proof against any APC member, should bring it forward,” he said.
This came barely few days when the Minister Of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, and his counterpart in the Ministry of Science And Technology, Ogbonnaya Onu, were accused of trying to bribe Supreme Court Justices.

Asked to comment on the allegations that the present government was fighting the corruption war without due process, Oni said: “If the rule of law is left to be what it is, and nothing is happening, can you achieve anything? If you leave this war in the hands of people who would not be able to prosecute it, it means we are giving up, and God forbid that we should fail.

“People who are talking about rule of law and so on, how much have we achieved by rule of law? Are they saying there is no corruption? If there is corruption, what has been achieved in stopping it? Or we should now say we cannot stop it, then we should institutionalize it. At one stage, there must be a stop.
“In Ghana, Rawlings applied a measure. God forbid that in Nigeria here we should leave things until people get so frustrated. It must not continue; things cannot continue the way it is, everybody knows the corrupt people, but everybody is keeping their voices low. Don’t Lawyers know corrupt Judges? Don’t Judges also know corrupt Judges? What we are trying to do now is to prevent the alternative, which is the collapse of the whole system, people taking laws into their hands.

“If the NJC has been able to deal with the issue of corruption decisively, in such a way that people are very confident that it would be done, I am sure this would probably not be necessary, but not much has been done, people are frustrated, the whole system is complaining.

“I want to see how Nigerian Judges, or Nigerian Lawyers, or Nigerian Practitioners of anything could raise their hands and say there is no corruption. Nobody has defended the system so far, even the CJN has not defended the system to say there is no corruption. What people are talking about, is how we are going about it.

“Yes, let them come up with alternative ways of achieving that, we assure you we will fish out all corrupt people out of this system within six months, and they would be out. Give us this time, then there would be no need for any extra measures, but if we don’t have such of an assurance from anywhere, we have to continue to do what we believe is a right way to go about it. This is an extraordinary circumstance, and people should see it as such”.

How she Was Kidnapped & Buried Alive By Her Driver In Abuja

“Parading the suspects Wednesday at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command of the State Security Service (SSS), Assistant Director Operations, Ibrahim Halilu said the victim’s driver, Ali Angba, who confessed to the crimes, connived with the others to kidnap the victim on June 29 at her residence in Gwagwalada.
Ajukwu, a graduate of Economics from the University of Nigeria Nsukka, also said to be a writer, in his confession said they kidnapped the victim from her house in Gwagwalada, a few minutes to midnight and took her to a hideout, but in the course of trying to tie her down, she recognized him, because he had on one occasion come to the victim’s house to see his friend, Ali, the driver.

“She recognized me, she did not know me well. It is only that the driver took me to the house two days before the event. He took me there as a spy to know the environment.”

“We kidnapped her, but we never had the intention of killing her because the driver said we should just kidnap her. She slumped on the way to where we were taking her. The driver said there was no need keeping her. Since she had seen our faces, it was better for her to go, instead of coming back to see him again.”

Just In: If I go Down, Buhari Must Go Down With Me Too! – Rotimi Amaechi

These are not the best of times for the Minister of Transportation. The house of the presidency appears struck on a path to self-implosion as reliable information available through sources within the presidency indicate the President had ordered a comprehensive investigation into the allegations leveled on the Transport Minister by numerous Justices of the Federation. And in turn, the Transport Minister is said to have threatened retaliation by exposing the President’s dirty deals over the alleged bribery allegation.

Following what appeared as serialized exposure by the Justices of the federation of the involvement of Rotimi Amaechi in the attempt to subvert the judicial process, the President of the federation, General Mohammadu Buhari fell under the immense pressure from the international community to investigate the validity in the claims leveled by the Justices. To this end, the President instructed for a probe be launched into the activities as alleged by the Judges. The Judges had alleged that Amaechi attempted to bribe them in more than one occasion.

Information available to the media reliably confirms a probe into the claims of the Judges were launched based on the instructions of Mr. President. All of the bank accounts known to belong to Amaechi, according to our source, have been placed under watch – and the historical activity on the account sequestered.

In retaliation, the former Governor of Rivers State and the present Minister of Transport – Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi has chosen to go the route of blackmail. He is said to have opted to expose all involved parties in the said attempted bribery of the justices. “Amaechi has documentary evidence that shows Buhari was in-the-know about the attempt to bribe the Judges and how many of the campaign funds were raised.”

Michelle would divorce me if I ran for president again - Barrack Obama

Lots of people don’t want to see the Obamas leave the White House but it turns out that the First Lady and her daughters are more than ready to move on.

In an interview on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Monday, President Barack Obama spoke candidly about his time in office and jokingly revealed that his wife Michelle once gave him a stern warning against him seeking a third term.
“Personally, for me, if I were able to run for a third time, Michelle would divorce me,” Obama joked as the crowd burst into laughter. “So it’s useful that I don’t have that choice to make.”

Obama is legally prohibited from running for the presidency again so Kimmel doubled down and tried his luck to at least keep FLOTUS around.

“I know you have to leave, but can we keep her for another four years?” Kimmel joked. Sadly, Obama explained that FLOTUS simply isn’t interesting in signing another lease on the White House.

“Michelle is spectacular but she was never wild about politics,” Obama said. “Michelle once explained to me: ‘I try to organize my life not to have a lot of mess around and politics is just a big mess.’”

It turns out that Michelle isn’t the only Obama ready to exercise more freedom. Their daughters Sasha and Malia are also on board with mom.

“All the women in my life are looking forward to being able to live a more normal life,” Obama admitted.

After the presidency, Obama said the family will stay in Washington D.C. where Sasha is currently enrolled as a sophomore high school student.

As for him, well... Obama told us all not to be surprised if you see him hanging around at the local bar: “I’m like the old guy at the bar where you went to high school,” Obama said. “Just kind of hanging around who still thinks he’s cool.”

Eight suspected prostitutes and three men have been arrested by the Lagos State Government at the abandoned home of former National Security Adviser, Gen. Andrew Owoye Azazi in Ikoyi, Lagos state.
Officials of the Lagos State Taskforce on Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit and the police from Ikoyi Police Station, today stormed Azazi’s abandoned house at Number 5 Club Road, Ikoyi and arrested the women and the men. The arrest is part of the Lagos State Government’s clean up exercise in Ikoyi and Victoria Island which have been overtaken by illegal and abandoned structures.

One of the suspected prostitute named Patience Ajoke, said prior to their arrest, nobody had come there to warn them against using the home of the late military chief.

“I don’t know anything happening in the compound until Saturday when they came to arrest us by police from Ikoyi Police Station, they released us to come back and pack our things, when we were inside to pack our loads, they came back and arrested us again. Nobody has come to warn us to stay away from there,” said Patience Ajoke, one of the suspected prostitutes.

20 year old Mary Augustine from Benue state said contrary to claims by the task force officers, she is a cleaner and not a prostitute.
Chairman of the Lagos task force unit, Yinka Egbeyemi refuted claims by the women that they weren't prostitutes.

“We have been there once with the DPO of Ikoyi Police Station. They sell ‘paranga’ aka alcohol in that place. During the clean up exercise, we were asked to move there again. We saw policemen and military men there and all sort of human beings. They are doing prostitution business there. We are going to charge them to court' he said.

Kim Kardashian drops lawsuit against MTO who claimed she faked terrifying Paris robbery

Reality TV star and business mogul, Kim Kardashian has dropped her lawsuit against MediaTakeOut website who claimed that the mother of two faked her Paris robbery incident just to generate buzz and attention.

The 36 year old initially sued the website after they claimed in an article that Kim faked her horrifying Paris incident where she was gagged and robbed of Valuables worth $11m so that she can get attention. MediaTakeOut apologized for writing the story and confirmed that Kim K was truly robbed.

On the website it reads: “RETRACTION: Kim Kardashian Was In Fact ROBBED In Paris!!

“MediaTakeOut knows that Mrs. Kardashian West was in fact robbed in Paris. MediaTakeOut regrettably published a series of false stories about Kim Kardashian West suggesting she faked the robbery in Paris, lied to authorities and then filed a $5.6 million fraudulent insurance claim for her stolen jewellery.

“We have permanently removed from our website any and all posts that suggested she staged the robbery, lied about it to the French police and committed an insurance crime. After speaking to sources, including some connected to the Kardashians, we are now confident and without a doubt believe that Kim Kardashian was robbed as was reported to the Paris police,” the website wrote. Anyone who is still questioning it is wrong.”

The defamation lawsuit filed by Kim has now been settled out of court and her lawyers have retracted the lawsuit.
