Lady reacts as her beautiful ex classmate is declared wanted for fraud by EFCC

A Nigerian banker and activist, Safiya Stephanie Musa, has reacted as her old classmate has been declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC.

The anti-graft agency declared Ugochukwu Sandra Alexandra Nneka from Nnewi area in Anambra state – wanted for conspiracy and obtaining money under false pretence.

Safiya Stephanie Musa took to Facebook to react to the news. Below is what she shared;

Nneka Ugochukwu was one of the very brilliant ones we had in my set. How she became a crook with her God given brain still beats me wallahi. She was even a Prefect fa.

When I raised alarm on Facebook 2013, many of my classmates came to beg me privately to let her be. Now that you know she’s indeed a Criminal, hope you all feel bad knowing how your plea and disbelief made it possible for her to swindle more people. If we had taken up her case then, gaskiya she for no see chance swindle people again fa.

This one EFCC is sharing black and white photo..I’ve shared a clearer colored Photo. EFCC needs to search beyond Nigeria. Check Ghana where she claims she has hotels, hospitals etc and Dubai which was her last abode.

She use to move around with 2 of her daughters (they look like her younger Sisters though), so the EFCC should be on the lookout for 3 Ladies.

"Our Pain Is That Maryam Sanda Is Not Remorseful For Killing Husband" - Bello Family

The family of Bilyaminu Bello, the son of ex-PDP chairman, Haliru Bello, who was recently stabbed to death by his wife, Maryam Sanda, have finally broken their silence on the very sad incident that occured on Sunday, November 19th.

A brother of the deceased who spoke to the Nation, said the family is still in shock over the unfortunate incident. The brother who spoke on condition of anonymity, said they are waiting on the law enforcement agencies to ensure that justice prevails in this matter. The brother of the deceased
spoke at a night of tribute held in honor of the deceased in Abuja last Thursday.

“So far, the family is grieving. Maryam’s family have come to pay their condolence. The mother has come but what is more painful is the fact that Maryam does not look remorseful for what she did at all. I just pray one day, she finds it in her heart to honestly say what it is that made her do what she did. As a family, we are looking at the authority to do what is right, to let justice prevail. This is an example to others. The way this case is treated will determine how we move forward…Bilyamin was not just my older brother but best friend.” he said

A friend of the deceased, Hakeem Ali, who also spoke at the night of tribute, said Bilyaminu was a prisoner in his matrmonial home. He denied allegations that Bilyaminu was a serial cheater.

'My friend was being held a prisoner in his own home. He couldn’t leave the house in the sense that it was an ongoing thing; the abuse went on for a while. For me there is a difference between love and when somebody is being obsessive. People tend not to understand the difference between love and obsession. It wasn’t the best marriage and I believe either of them could have just walked away. It’s easier to sit down in that sorrow and think you can change things, or that if I can’t have him, no one will. I don’t consider it love. I can’t speak on his behalf. I can’t speak on his personal issue, he is a good friend and he is gone. He was that one guy that the minute we step out, we will be like, it is time for you to go home, your wife is about to call, after hanging out for as little as an hour or even 30 minutes. Even in the afternoon because she always calls. So we formed the habit of going to see him at home. The situation with the law, there are a lot of speculations right now on social media but if Nigeria should excuse people for murder just because they have a child, then if I am a murderer, then I will keep on having babies every week, that is not an excuse, for me. If somebody has committed a murder, either intentionally or by mistake, she should not be allowed to even see her baby because you don’t even know her state of mind. I don’t understand the system. A conversation has to begin on domestic violence against men as well because it’s becoming recurrent. If it is a case of murder by mistake then there is a price to pay of which a family can forgive but only God gives life and only God can take it. So, if you take a life, then your life should be taken. It is that simple. If the evidence shows it is a murder, then there is no excuse. It should be a case of an eye for an eye. It is that simple.”

Another friend of the deceased, Jemila Shehu, who was also at the tribute night, suggested that Maryam might have bipolar disorder or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder PTSD

”I have no idea. I was not in her mind. I don’t know what she was thinking. All I know is that they both loved each other. There was love there, only God knows. It beats my imagination and I don’t want to think about it or give any excuse as a Muslim. He is gone but I don’t know what she was thinking. I don’t know what to think about her. For me, she should be punished. She committed murder. So, she should serve the punishment fully. This happened to someone that was loved by a lot of people. He was kind, quiet and people knew them to be in love. So, it beats everybody’s imagination. Domestic violence should be treated. People should relax, love is not by force. Obsession is a disease. There are a lot of people in Nigeria that are sick but people don’t know because you think that if you go to the therapist, they look down on you or think you are crazy but there are a lot of PTSD, bipolar patients and they live among us. Maybe she flipped, maybe it was a psychotic break or maybe she planned it.”

After Serving Prison Term, Nigerian National Found With Drugs Again In New Delhi

A 26-year-old Nigerian national was arrested and 260-gram heroin worth Rs 26 lakh was seized from him in New Delhi, police have said.

The accused, Justin, used to conceal the drugs in audio speakers to avoid detection by the police.

He was arrested on November 24 from near Dada Dev Khel Parisar, Palam, Dabri Road, Delhi, when he had come to supply heroin to someone, they added.

He was earlier arrested by Punjab Police for drug smuggling. After completing his sentence, he 
moved to Delhi and started supplying heroin here.

During interrogation, Justin revealed that he had come to India on business visa in 2011.
He started exporting clothes to Nigeria from Ludhiana, but he suffered losses, the police said.

During this period, he came in contact with locals who introduced him to drugs, and he also started consuming heroin.

Gradually, he started supplying narcotic substance as his friends from Nigeria were also involved in drug trafficking, the police said. He was arrested by Mohali Police in 2015. He was convicted by a court there.

He came out of jail in May, 2017 and came to Delhi. Since he was unemployed and addicted to heroin, he again started supplying heroin to earn quick money. He will be charged again.

REVEALED | 2 Top Nigerian Men In Prison Masterminded The Ozubulu Killings

The Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, Garba Umar, on Wednesday, unmasked two suspects in the deadly the invasion and killing of 18 worshipers at St. Philip Catholic Church, Ozubulu.
The names of the top men allegedly behind the killings are;

Prince Charles Obi (aka Gozila) and Dickson Nwodi. According to the police, both men are currently serving jail terms for murder in South African prisons.
CP Umar disclosed this during a press briefing at Amawbia near Awka.

Recall that 18 persons were killed by 'gunmen' while 10 others were injured while they were attending early morning Sunday mass at the Church on August 6.

He said Obi and Nwodi, who hailed from Nnobi and Oba communities of Anambra, had mandated one Quintus Anayo, also based in SA, to inform Ozubulu elders that they were behind the invasion.

The commissioner said details on Anayo was in line with the investigation of police into the matter.

He said that already police had established contact with Interpol on the need to extradite the suspects from South Africa to Nigeria.

He said police in the state were already intensifying arrangements to arraign the three suspects earlier arrested in connection with the killings within the week.

CP Umar thanked the public for the information to which he attributed the successes already recorded by police in the investigations.

Five men where arrested by the Imo State Police Command who where accuse of syndicate in Enugu State after selling kidnapped children to the highest bidder. According to the  reported, the gang attacked the mother, in Uzoagba town of Ikeduru area of Imo state, stole the children from her and took them to Enugu and sold them to a waiting buyer for N1.1m.

The suspects - Obinna Eze, Oluchi Chibuike,Vitalis Lumanze, Nkiru Nwanedu, Chinyere Nwudu and one Jacinta - were arrested by the police for allegedly kidnapping and selling a five-year-old boy, Francis Nwachukwu and his two-year-old sibling, Chinaza Nwachukwu.

According to the police, in the morning of August 30, 2017, Oluchi and Obinna allegedly took the two children to Enugu and sold them to one Nkiru Nwanedu.

Their mum was attacked along a lonely bush path and dumped inside the bush, thinking she had died.

The suspects were said to have been arrested after a thorough investigation.

Police assured that the only fleeing member of the gang, identified as Chinatu, will soon be arrested.

Man Snatching Car With A Child Inside Inside The Car Has Been Arrested

A young man who snatched a vehicle on Friday night at Gaa Akanbi area of Ilorin, Kwara state, has been apprehended by security men. There was a baby in the car when the incident happened.
After the vehicle was snatched, police operatives were notified and they swung into action.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos zonal office, have arrested seven ND students of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), for offenses bordering on conspiracy, obtaining money by false pretenses and possession of forged documents.

The young guys, said to be living flamboyantly, were alleged to be involved in an internet scam, forgery of financial instruments, lottery scam, among others. Details below:
The suspects - Adesina Olalekan, Makinde Noheem, Toheeb Ogunowo, Somotun Olusola, Somotun Sodiq, Tajudeen Hafeez Bolaji and Kareem Olaseni - are studying various courses in the institution.

They were arrested alongside Iyun Ifeoluwa, Odusanwo Ibrahim, Obanijesu Opeyemi Soneye, Azeez Olayinka, Babatunde Ajala, Ojejimi Ademola, Aderowunmi Ayomide and Oluokun Oluwaseun by operatives of the Commission within Abeokuta and its environs on August 17, 2016, following a petition received by the Commission about their activities.

One of the suspects, Olaseni, a 21-year-old Business Administration student, was said to have created a Facebook account with the name Dean Robert, with which he interacted with his victims.

In his statement, Olaseni gave a blow-by-blow revealed his mode of operation:

“I tell them (victims) that they have won Facebook Lottery. I have people who receive the money sent by the victims. Then, the money is remitted into my personal accounts domiciled in GTBank and Skye Bank.”A number of items, including laptops, forged documents, and charms were recovered from them.

The EFCC has assured that suspects will be charged to court after investigations are concluded.

Family of Lagos traditional ruler paid N15.1m ransom to kidnappers for his release

The traditional ruler of Iba Town, Oba Goriola Oseni admitted that his family paid N15.1 million to free him after the kidnappers initially demanded N500 million ransom.

The monarch stated this on Friday, November11th, while giving evidence before the Lagos High Court sitting at Igbosere as the trial of four suspects, who kidnapped him begins.
The defendants, Duba Furejo, Ododowo Isaiah, Reuben Anthony and Yerin Fresh, who were first arraigned before Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo on October 24, are standing trial on an eight-count charge bordering on conspiracy, murder, attempted murder, robbery, armed robbery, stealing and kidnapping preferred against them by the Lagos State Government.
The defendants and others still at large, murdered a security guard, Sunday Eniola Okanlawon and a commercial motorcyclist, Joseph Okeke and also attempted to murder the traditional ruler's wife, Olori Abosede Oseni.

Led in examination by the Lagos State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Adeniji Kazeem (SAN), who led a team of lawyers for the state, the 73-year-old monarch narrated how he was kidnapped by nine heavily armed men at his palace while watching TV oat about 8pm, on July 16th.

"This is the king,’ the gunmen said. I asked them, ‘what can I do for you?’ Then they grabbed me. I wore only a boxer because I was preparing to take a bath. My Olori (Queens) came in and asked them where they were taking me to but they fled when the gunmen released some bullets in the decking of the room," Oseni told the court.

He further narrated how the gunmen dragged him out of the palace and shot sporadically, in the process, killed his security guard and a motorcyclist. They also shot at one of his wives.

"They started pushing me and shouting 'trek, trek', till I fell and injured my arm. Mt toe was also forcibly removed, so they carried me,"

The suspects took him to a speedboat where he was driven away to a riverine camp with about 50 militants. The next day, he was taken to a bigger camp with six buildings and more of the militants. He said they demanded N500 million ransom but his family paid N12 million and then another N3.1million to another group of the kidnappers, totaling N15.1million after he was released.

The Oba’s son, Prince Kazeem, who testified as the second prosecution witness, said he delivered both ransom money of N12m and N3.1m to the abductors at a canal near Igbehinadun in Iba, adding that they negotiated the ransom from N500m to N40m but they couldn’t raise that amount, especially after the government refused to pay any ransom. The militants gave him directions to the drop off point on phone after warning him not to tell anyone.

Justice Taiwo adjourned the case till November 18, following a request by the prosecution for time to present more witnesses.

President Muhammadu Buhari is worried and shocked by the recently released Human Rights Watch (HRW) report which alleges sexual abuse and exploitation of women and girls in camps for those displaced by the Boko Haram insurgency.
The welfare of these most vulnerable of Nigerian citizens has been a priority of his government. Nigerians and the international community can rest assured that the allegations raised in the HRW are not being taken lightly.
President Buhari has instructed the Inspector General of Police and the state governors of the affected states to immediately commence investigations into the issue. Their findings will determine the next course of action for the government and define an appropriate response.
While the Nigerian military continues to work hard so that these unfortunate victims of Boko Haram terrorism can soon return safely to their homes, the government will do its best to ensure their protection and welfare in the temporary IDP camps.

U.K Court Jails Former Nigerian Cleaner Who Used Fake Passport To Falsely Claim £34k In Benefits

Adebola Adesanwo, 54, is a naturalised UK citizen but as a dual-national, also has a Nigerian passport. He had previously pleaded guilty to charges of possession of an identification document with intent and two counts of failing to disclose information to make a gain.
Newport Crown Court heard how Adesanwo, a former cleaner, had a second alias under a false, forged passport under the name of John Adepujo. The period of offending was separated into two timeframes – August 2007 to June 2008 and September 2009 and November 2015.

During that combined period, he falsely claimed £34,205.30, despite working at a cleaner at the time. Defending, Matthew Cobbe said that while the defendant’s action were illegal, he was not committing the fraudulent acts for person gain or greed.

“He was sending the funds back to his parents in Nigeria. As the eldest son, he felt compelled to do so,” said Mr Cobbe. The court heard that the defendant’s parents were both in ill-health, and before his appearance at magistrate’s court earlier this month, he found out his father had died from cancer.

Concluding, judge William Gaskell labelled the offences as ‘sophisticated’, adding that the defendant was claiming benefits on a forged passport, despite being a UK citizen, which would have entitled him to benefits any way.

He was given full credit for his early pleas of guilt, after the judge agreed that he had not used the money for his own use, but to help his family in Nigeria. He received a 10 month prison sentence, spending half in custody before being released on licence and will pay a victim surcharge of £100 on his release.

Nnaji Juliet Ijeoma, 30 who hails from Enugu state was arrested by officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos on Friday. She was caught with the illicit drug at the airport during the inward screening of South African Airways.
A statement by the spokesman of NDLEA, Mr. Mitchell Ofoyeju said that the suspect had attempted to bring in the drug into the country from Brazil. Ofoyeju hinted that the suspected white powdery substance tested positive for cocaine with a gross weight of 535 grams.

Commenting on the arrest, the NDLEA Commander at the Lagos airport, Ahmadu Garba said that the incident is being investigated and immediately the agency was through with its investigation Ms. Ijeoma would be charged to court for prosecution.

He explained that the suspect holds a National Diploma holder in Mass Communication and confessed that she took part in the illicit business because she needed money for her business. She allegedly confessed,

“I work as a hair stylist in Brazil where l reside for the past two years. I studied mass communication, but because of lack of job, I work as a hair stylist in Brazil. I was approached to smuggle cocaine to Nigeria and I accepted because of the money involved.

“I needed money for my personal problem. The drug was prepared inside brassiere and given to me to put on. I did not know how it was packaged. My role was to smuggle the drug to Nigeria and collect the sum of N1 million.”

Terrific! Human Skeleton Where Found In Pastor’s Apartment In Ogun State

A pastor apartment has become a place where human skeleton are being kept. Recently human skeleton was discovered in the house of one pastor whose name has not be disclose to the public at Peace Land Estate, Akute area of the Ogun State.

The landlady, Iya Lati, who was trying to evict him, over late payment of his rent discovered the human  skeleton in his room while she was trying to packed him out since he had not paid his rent for the year. Iya Lati  stormed the apartment, ignoring the pastor’s incessant pleas was shocked with what she saw.

She reportedly invaded the house, with the help of some persons, in-order to pack him out. They were, however shock when they discovered a human skeleton inside the apartment. The pastor while pressing  allegedly confessed that the skeleton was that of one his sister.

According to him, he had two sisters, one of whom was Funmi, suspected to be the deceased. It was alleged that the said Funmi mysteriously went missing since 2010 till date.

When people asked about her, he would say she went to the mountain. She, however, allegedly died since 2010 and her body was abandoned in the house. The said pastor has been arrested awaiting trier.

ATM FRAUD: Rapid Response Squad (RRS) arrested lovers for withdrawing money from stolen ATM

Operatives of Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of Lagos State Police Command on Friday apprehended a young lady, her boyfriend and two others for stealing an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) card which belonged to one Musa Alli and withdrew over N300, 000.00 from the account.


The lady, Bamigboye Imoleayo, 24, was arrested by the operatives at a club house (name withheld) in Surulere area of Lagos State over the crime, before arresting three other accomplices, including her boyfriend, Adeyinka Ayodele, the same day in Itori, Ogun State.

The victim, who reported the case at the RRS's office in Alausa, said that he met the suspect at a club in Surulere last week Friday. That the lady had earlier stolen his ATM before memorizing his Personal Identification Number (PIN) during online transfer of funds into his friend's account.
"I thought I had misplaced the card not knowing that the lady had stolen it and thereafter glimpsed at the PIN for withdrawal", he noted. He said that he was shocked on Saturday afternoon when he received alerts amounting to N90, 000:00 withdrawals.

"while I was still contemplating on how to deal with the issue, I got another debit alert for buying two Infinix phones totalling N84,000:00. I was confused and shocked. I didn’t know what action to take on a Saturday evening…. On Sunday, there was another debit. I couldn’t pin the crime to the lady I met at the club. I lodged a complaint on Monday morning at my bank and I was told that the withdrawals and shopping were legitimately made by me. I reported the incident at the RRS's office on Monday after informing my bank. My emphasis to the police was the withdrawals and shopping totalling N300,000:00. It was unbelievable for me when I was face to face with the suspect, the lady I met at the club. And, she explained everything," he stated.


After the arrest, the lady, Bamigboye Imoleayo, opened up during interrogations that she pocketed the victims ATM card when the owner slept off during their conversation at night at the club.
"I managed to steal the card when Musa (victim) dozed off during our conversations. Initially, I had spied on and crammed his PIN when he was sending money to his colleague via mobile app…. I committed this offence because I was so desperate to re-stock my shop at Wasimi in Ogun State, and also to take care of my only daughter. I never had a rethink while committing the crime. Although, I regretted my action now," she stated.

She further narrated how she in company of her lover withdrew and expended funds from the ATM.
"After I spied on his PIN during a particular banking transaction on his phone, I intended to only withdraw N20,000.00 out of his bank account and then destroy the card…. However, when I withdrew the money, and checked the account balance, I was shocked to see his balance. Afterwards, I withdrew another N70,000.00 again making N90,000.00 that day.  Then, the following day, I called my boyfriend, who instructed me not to destroy the card, but i should come straight to Itori, Ogun State, where he resides. On getting to him, he called two of his friends, Abimbola Akintanna and Owolabi Bamidele, to use the ATM at any nearest bank."

He added that they took the card to a shopping mall in Abeokuta where they bought phones and clothes.
"The following day, we went straight to Abeokuta to use the card. We thought by going this far nobody could trace us. We bought two android phones for N84,000 at a phone store.… We proceeded to a boutique where four of us bought clothes worth N126,000. I recharged my phone with another N2,500 worth of recharge card. The money spent from the account was over N300, 000.00," she revealed.

Two Android phones, 8 pairs of trousers and shirts were recovered from the suspects during a thorough search of their residents. Confirming the arrest, the image maker of Lagos State Police Command, Superintendent of Police, SP Dolapo Badmus, urged members of public to always protect their PIN during banking transaction at any point in time. The suspect and exhibits recovered have been transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, for prosecution.

The kidnappers who abducted wife of the sitting Central Bank Governor Godwin Emefiele, are demanding N1.5 billion for her release.

According to SaharaReporters, they learned of these developments from a source with an intimate understanding of the delicate situation.


Mrs. Emefiele was abducted yesterday along the Benin-Agbor Road and her captors have been in communication with Mr. Emefiele. In addition to Mrs. Emefiele,four other people were abducted
including two other females, a male, and her driver.

According to report, Mrs. Emefiele had a four-man police detail attached to her. However, when the police were confronted with the superior firepower of the kidnappers they ran away, leaving her and the other victims in the hands of the criminals.

Since her abduction, the kidnappers have been in constant communication with Mr. Emefiele, his representatives, and police negotiators. They are reportedly discussing the N1.5 billion ransom demand.

Indian man who seriously maltreated his house help for coming late to work was arrested in Banana Island, Lagos

An Indian man named Jay Keswani, has been arrested in Lagos state for allegedly assaulting his wife’s domestic help, Faith Nwaneri, on the Banana Island, Ikoyi area of the state.

According PUNCH Metro reports, Keswani was apprehended on Tuesday by the Adeniji Adele police division after about six weeks he allegedly evaded arrest.


Faith, who worked for the Indian businessman, was seriously hit on the left side of her face on Friday, August 12, while in the Keswanis’ apartment on the Banana Island.

Policemen from the division was reportedly to have gone to the Island to arrest the Indian, but were where denied assess to enter the area.

The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, who confirmed the Indian’s arrest, said he would be charged to court at the end of investigation.

According to him,
“The police arrested him on Tuesday. He was nabbed by the Adeniji Adele division. He was tracked to his house. When the suspect discovered that the police were on the lookout for him, he initially fled.
“But when he thought the tension was down, he returned to his house and was arrested. The family support unit of the division is in charge of the case. The Indian has not confessed to the crime, but all the evidences before the police indicate that he assaulted the lady. He will be charged to court.”
Faith’s elder brother, Chukwuka, had narrated that her sister was late to work on that Friday, because the security men delayed to give her a pass.

He added that,
“Keswani’s wife queried Faith for coming late, and she explained that she was delayed by the security men at the gate for lack of a pass. The Indian’s wife became angry and reported Faith to her husband.

“There was an altercation and my sister was hit on the face; she began to bleed. She fell and became unconscious, but they thought she was pretending. When she regained consciousness, she headed for a public hospital at Falomo, and also reported at the Ikoyi Police Station. The police at Ikoyi invited the Indian, but he did not show up.”
Punch adds that the matter was also reported to the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team, Alausa.

The DSVRT Coordinator, Lola Vivour-Adeniyi, said,
 “The case was brought to our attention on September 14.
“It came to our knowledge that the case was first reported at the Ikoyi division, but the police at that level were unable to invite him.

“The case was transferred to another police section on September 2, but the Indian did not appear to write his statement until September 7.
“When the matter got to us, the DSVRT referred the case to the Adeniji Adele division. The Divisional Police Officer referred the case to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba, and the Commissioner of Police directed that the matter be charged to court.”
A source at the Adeniji Adele division said the Indian, in his statement to the police, insisted that he was not guilty of the offence.
