Enjoy the Fuzzy Christmas Carol by Chidinma and Sauti Sol, Christmassy Coke Studio 5 Christmas Song

The lights were flickering, the melody was magical, slow rhythmic movements on stage, the Christmas spirit was indeed present as Chidinma and kanya’s Sauti Sol sang their version of the Christmas Carol titled, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year.” The song ignited a warm, fuzzy, Christmassy feeling in the air and hearts of the audience.

You would agree that Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year and the reasons why are not farfetched. Christmas brings the end of the year break.

It reassures us of the beginning of the New Year where great opportunities abound. The mood, food, nostalgic weather, gifts, outings and of course the decorating all add up to why Christmas is a time to look forward to.
If you are lucky, you get to visit Santa Claus, who comes visiting all the way from the North Pole…LOL!
I’m sure you had a wonderful Christmas celebration this year and the New Year will be filled with bounties.
Enjoy the Christmas Carol by Chidinma and Sauti Sol.

Meet Yomi Sars, aka. Lagos Gucci Mane, a SARS operative day and a musician at night

Nigerians are crying out over police brutality meted out by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Nigerian Police Force.

And while the conversations about police reforms are ongoing, we take a look at a member of the force who is a cop by day, and a musician by night.
Yomi Sars, aka Gucci Mane Eko (Lagos Gucci Mane) is a 30 year-old singer and rapper who combines tackling crime with recording and releasing music. He’s a native of Lagos state, is popular in circles of the music industry.

He makes music from the streets and for the streets. A look through his growing discography sees him drawing inspiration from the Lagos mainland, and turning that into music. His delivery style is core street, where he freestyles in Yoruba, over heavy beat.

But he wasn’t always on the street. According to him, he was attracted to the streets at an early age, and left home to go find his path there.

“I was born with a silver spoon but I left the confort of my home to be on the Street just as if I knew my mum won’t stay on for long……I thank God who led my path on the street and make me a better person.”

Yomi Sars is popular amongst entertainers in the music industry. His position in the force, ensures that he attracts the friendship of many entertainers. One of his closest pals is Olamide, the indigenous rapper.
With Olamide Baddo

With Lil Kesh.
The duo have a strong bond, appearing at numerous concerts together and giving shout outs on social media. His other friendship circle include A-list artists such as Pasuma Wonder, Reminisce, Wizkid, Phyno, Davido and more.
With Wizkid.
His released records include ‘Japa’ (produced by Young Jonn), ‘Adoyoyo’, and ‘Gucci Mane Eko’.

Off the mic, Yomi is actively involved with combating crime. He is regularly involved in special missions. One of his mentors is Abba Kyari, an assistant police commissioner of Lagos State has been labelled ‘Nigeria’s Jack Bauer‘ due to his effort in bringing high-profile hoodlums and criminals to justice. Yomi works with Abba Kyari, and sometimes share insights into the workings of the police.

“Yomi is a great guy,” says a police officer, who refused to be named for this post. “He is a friend of everyone, and we can all rely on him. That’s why he is popular to everyone, and he has a good heart.”

Once during an operation to catch kidnappers in Delta state, a cop was killed during the ensuing shoot-out. Yomi too to Instagram to reflect upon it. “We lost a brave officer yesterday was shot by a deadly kidnapper in delta state…& was buried today….Inspr Rasheed Sanusi may ur soul rest in peace….If I die today I die a hero cos my 21 gun salute must complete,” he said. With Phyno.

Being a musician and a cop means he is a prime target for criticism. He traverses both worlds, drawing the ire of the public on social media who constantly question his dedication to the job.

He handles the criticism well, acting as a de factor public relations executive for the force. Once he went on a campaign to highlight Police officers who are distinguished in other fields. They include Chioma Ajunwa, Chuck Norris, Samuel Peters, and more.

As the growing voices of Nigeria’s youth against the brutality of SARS operatives continue to rise, Yomi addressed the issue on Instagram. You can find the post below.

“The #EndSARS is no longer one that any responsible Citizen minded Police officer can ignore, not necessarily giving credence to some of the gory yet vivid narrations but Policing is to maintain the public peace in whatever guise the unrest may come.

From Wuang, Dallas, Frankfurt, Paris, London and even Conakry Citizens have at some point in time, say recently protested against Police brutality.

It comes with the job, it is a sad truth. It’s same as the Doctor that leaves a spatula inside a patient or watches a patient die because the family couldn’t make cash deposit for treatment, it’s like the school Proprietors that wouldn’t allow the most brilliant child in the school write exams because the parents can’t afford to pay the fees, the Lawyer that breathes well knowing an innocent person have gone to jail only because legal fees couldn’t be paid . All these hinge on the individual’s world view, personal background and moral check list.

Definitely some Officers are on the extreme in the line of duty, some are on the job for personal gratification but we must commend the larger percentage who are worthy Ambassadors of the Police Force.

Those that daily defy the lack of basic needs like accommodation, uniform and other kits, up to date technology and equipments, no life insurance or worthy compensation for family and or loved ones in the case of death in the line of duty and with the little they’re given, combat violent crimes, conduct investigations, track down cunning criminals and do all they can to maintain law and order. I say again, a greater number of Officers of the Nigeria Police Force are Heroes without capes.

My simple suggestion in lending my voice to the #EndSARS is this; let us together raise the standard of our society, our collective existence as a people, for if we’re yet to realize every singular facet of the society reflects the whole, as no entity can forever stand aloof.

Justice is a system, a societal measure and as the Yorubas will say “Gba fun Muri ni gba fun Gbaja”. This of course shouldn’t stop the Police from looking into the various allegations levelled against the body, and the need to investigate and weed out the wolves amongst us.”

Paul Okoye a.k.a , Rudeboy sat for an interview with Beat 99.9 FM to discuss going solo, his solo music career and what his fans should expect.

In his interview on morning rush which has just been released after it aired days ago, Rudeboy said from the 1st of November, he made a decision to take everything seriously and move on from the drama with his brother Mr P, in preparation for 2018.

When asked about the issue with his family, he said he doesn’t want to “play politics” about music and won’t be talking about his family issues in public as no one does that and as a result of this, didn’t answer some questions fans sent out as regards his brother.

Speaking on Tweeting about their family issues, he said he thinks he was very stupid, adding that something got into him. He said he regrets making comments and asked that his fans to forgive him.

Rudeboy also revealed that he doesn’t know if there will be a PSquare song again or if he is interested in doing one. When asked if he was going to perform alone, Paul said he’ll be performing at the just concluded PhynoFest in Enugu.

Olisa pushed further, asking him if he won’t feel awkward looking across the stage and not seeing his brother, he said it’s a new year for him and all that is gone is gone since November 1st.

The music star also said he was supposed to bring out a solo album next year, he wasn’t supposed to drop his new singles but he felt he needed something to start his “new year” (November 1st).

He said he has been living in the studio for the past few weeks and has 90-100 songs available, adding that he could drop two albums today if he wants to, ending his statement with “My eye don open, dey just free lion commot for cage.”

Maria asked him how he felt when people say he can’t sustain his career alone, he said he laughs it off adding that he is not talking anymore adding that his music will speak for itself.

A fan sent in a question, asking if the brothers could make up and get back together and he replied saying “No be me sign paper say I wan commot”

Lastly, he was asked about his working relationship with his brother Jude Okoye and he said “There used to be three of us, now there’s two of us; Jude is still my manager”

“I don catch you, stop buying followers” — Davido calls out colleague for buying fake followers

It has been reported severally, that some celebrities buy fake followers, just to boost their social media count..

Now, it seems as if Davido is throwing shade to his counterpart, as he’s said he just “caught” one of his colleagues.
Davido took to his Snapchat to write; “Ahhhh… I don catch you… lmao… Stop buying followers… you know yourself…”

Though he didn’t mention names, but folks say his above post was a subtle shade to his biggest rival, Wizkid, whose latest single, “Manya” was recently yanked off from YouTubeand Vevo.

Maybe Davido thought the over 1.5 million views the video has amassed is fake or something.. I’m just sayin’, I’m just sayin’

Meanwhile, Davido, is currently Nigeria’s most followed celebrity on Instagram, with 5.3 million followers. He is followed closely by Wizkid, who has over 4.3 million followers.

Actress Funke Akindele-Bello, also known as Jenifa, follows the two musicians with 4million followers.

Diva Tiwa Savage falls in fourth place with 3.9 million followers. Don Jazzy follows closely with 3.6 million followers.

Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji falls in next with 3.2 million while defunct P-Square’s Peter Okoye has 3.3 million followers.

Clear video of Adesua’s naked back, Banky W mistakenly shared on his snapchat

Just moment ago, we brought you reports and snapshots of how Banky W mistakenly shared Adesua’s bare butt in her g-string, while recording his SA Experience.
Folks on Social media felt it was intentional, because of the caption used; “My goodness” with the love struck Emoji!
Below is the actual video Banky posted, and it seems as if it wasn’t intentional.. as he quickly switched the camera to the “back view,” probably after seeing his wife trying to put on her panties..

Watch the video below;
@lusciouspeenut: Omotola took her time to advise Banky W and Adesua to take their marriage off social media immediately after their wedding, but they didn’t listen to her. Now there’s a leaked nude of Adesua on the Internet. Very what? Very good.

@PapazLagos: Banky W should take his marriage off social media ffs, see what he’s done and the marriage is barely one week.

@officialdaddymo: We all know what happens when newly weds are on honeymoon. Banky W didn’t need to inform social media. Sigh….

@coldceptions; Banky W messed up. Too much posting on social media, na him dey cause this kain slip up. God bless Eldee The Don. God bless Darey Art Alade.

Recall Omotola Jalade penned a word for Advise for the couple…

She wrote: “Dear Banky and Adesua, After capetown, everyone leaves…it’s just you two. My darlings if possible, stay off social media a bit. Communicate continuously. Preserve your friendship not just your love. Even as you two have now become one, don’t forget to respect your individuality. We love you and are rooting for your special Love.

Mark Anthony Osuchukwu, also wrote a beautiful Open Letter to The Couple, Titled, “Dear Banky and Adesua, I don’t want to hear pim”.
