“Journalist List The Number Of Private Jets Bishop Oyedepo Of Winners’s Chapel Owns”

It was reported some time ago that the founder and General Overseer of the Living Faith Church also known as Winners’ Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo who is among the richest pastors Africa – owns four private jets. This has not gone down well with Nigerians who never forget to bring up issue of extravagance and flamboyancy anytime they hear the name of the pastor or the church.
Writer and journalist Leke Beecroft, has revealed in details how private jets the church currently has. Read below;
DOES WINNERS’ CHAPEL OWN FOUR JETS?

The biggest criticism concerning the Church ownership of jets is that a particular Church, Winners’ Chapel owns four jets. Infact, the respected Forbes Magazine has quoted the same information severally. In an environment negatively disposed to the growth and prosperity of Churches, this is well understood. However, what is not understood is that falsehood can be bandied for so long without critics caring to crosscheck. It seems that as far as any information about the Church might seem to put her in bad light, critics would always be ready to shut their brains and put off their thinking caps to accept it. Knowing the leader of the Church in question however, Bishop Oyedepo, a man of great faith, would never insist that the Church does not have four jets; instead, he has prophesied that there would soon be at least 10 jets with parking for helicopters in addition and owned by worshippers; but what are the facts? How many jets does the Church actually own?

The first aircraft bought in 1996 for N100 million was an 8 seater HS (Hawker Sydney) 25 400B with registration 5N-WMA (World Mission Agency) for the propagation of the Gospel across the globe. On September 18, 1996, the aircraft was dedicated. Note that unlike the situation with Oduyemi of Bethel, a one branch Church, Winners’ Chapel had just launched her AGIP (African Gospel Invasion Program) 2 years earlier in 1994 with a vision to take Africa for Christ. Also, the Church was already holding her very hectic annual apostolic visits (it was on one of such hectic apostolic visits that Pastor (Mrs) Faith Oyedepo fell ill and almost lost her life) and the first trip of the aircraft in Nigeria was to Kaduna when Bishop Oyedepo ministered at the Garden of Faith in September 1996. I was privileged to be in that service as a teenager and by the next day, I was curious enough to join a Deacon in the Church to see the jet for myself at the Kaduna Airport. Like I said earlier, politicians travel on national campaigns once every 4 years using jets in Nigeria. For a Church undertaking annual missionary or apostolic visits, I saw every need for the use of an aircraft. Campaigning for Jesus round the country every year deserved the use of a jet.

In June 2004, a second aircraft was bought as a ‘replacement’ for the first one. The new aircraft was a HS 800A with registration 5N-PTL (Praise The Lord).

By August 2008, The Challenger 604 with registration N664D (Dominion), a newer and bigger aircraft was gotten at a good deal during the global recession. At this point, the Church had two jets, however, one of the oil majors in Nigeria had taken the HS 800A on lease and were thus paying for it at prevailing commercial rates until it was involved in a minor accident.

Plans to buy a GLEX (Global Express) were later discouraged by Pastor Kenneth Copeland according to Bishop Oyedepo and eventually the two aircraft were sold while the Church airline operators (Dominion Aviation Center) bought two aircraft in replacement; first a helicopter with registration-5N-BQY used for short trips to Landmark University Omu Aran in Kwara from Lagos or from Ota to the Lagos Airport and on a few occasions to Abuja etc. The helicopter has now been disposed of. The other aircraft which is the ONLY ONE in use presently is a Challenger 605 with registration N633WM (World Mission).

Basically and by design, as new ones came in, old ones were always sold out. The peak of foreign trips by the aircraft was between 2010 and 2013 due to the planting of thousands of Churches from 2010 in which the Church grew from 700 branches to over 6000.

Daddy Freeze replies Zack Orji comment on his opinion on tithing

The debate on tithe continues nationwide, all thanks to controversial OAP, Daddy freeze. Now, Veteran Nollywood Actor, Zack Orji has shared his opinion on why tithing should not be condemned.

Speaking with Broadway TV, the actor said people speaking against tithing are ignorant, adding that it is a terrible thing to condemn pastors and Bible.

OAP Freeze has been in the forefront of the controversy that has generated reactions from men of God.

Zack Orji, while disclosing he has been a pastor for five years added that tithe is a personal thing.

He said, “I am a pastor, ordained for five years now. The issue of tithing is a personal thing.

“I get very careful about making certain statements I have watched some people condemn tithing, say a lot of things about men of God and I pity some of those people because they are speaking out of ignorance”

“It is a terrible thing to go on the social media and be condemning men of God and be condemning something that is in the bible”

Daddy Freeze wasted no time in replying the Veteran Nollywood Actor. He wrote; “Pity will not solve this dilemma sir, all we need is scriptural evidence of where Jesus our High priest under the order of Melchizedek collected tithe, or where our first pastors, the disciples and apostles collected tithe or where believers who weren’t Jewish paid tithe, simple!”

“You don’t need to know what happens to the tithe you pay” – Prophet Abiara On Tithing

The immediate past General Evangelist of the Christ Apostolic Church, Prophet Samuel Abiara has weighed in on the issues of tithing and how it’s being spent by clerics.
In a recent interview with Punchng, the popular Evangelist said people don’t need to know what happens to the tithe they pay in church.
He said:

“You don’t need to know what happens to the tithe you pay. Leave it to the servants of God who will use it for evangelism. It is not for you to investigate how the money is utilized”

“However, it is compulsory for the servants of God to give an account of the tithe and other offerings paid by church members to avoid corruption. Proper accountability of incomes accruable to the church will enable the authorities to pay the salaries of pastors and other workers as and when due.”

Well, we await Daddy Freeze’s reply to the Evangelist.

Meanwhile, the Controversial On Air Personality replied Pastor Adeboye’s response to his teachings on tithing some weeks back.

He took to his Instagram page to share a video of himself as he replied the Cleric and also seized the opportunity to ask the man of God some questions he considered valid.
He wrote:

“Dear Pastor Adeboye,

If you permit me, I will like to humbly seize this opportunity to raise some questions I consider valid.

Why did you say in a viral video, that even a mad person knows that you don’t drink alcohol in a church?
Although from a sentimental point of view, your premise might seem right, but is it really what the Bible teaches us? The book of Deuteronomy 14:22-26, when speaking about paying tithes, instructs us to take our tithe to the place the LORD has chosen, and if the place is too far, we are instructed to sell the portion of our tithe and use it to buy anything our heart desires, listing alcohol as one of the items that could be bought with our tithe. The King James Version says ‘strong drink’, the Holmans Bible says ‘beer’ while the new international version specifies ‘fermented drink’. All the above are forms of alcohol.

So if you say even a mad person knows that you don’t drink alcohol in church, are you suggesting that the modern day church is not the ‘place the LORD has chosen for tithe to be paid and for his name to be worshiped’ as described in the book of Deuteronomy, or are you implying that the Bible was written by lunatics, or are you perhaps doubting God’s sanity?

Another issue I’ll be grateful if you can throw some light upon, is where our first pastors and Daddy GOs, the 12 disciples, collected tithes, or where they instructed the believers who took over the headship of the church from them, to collect tithe.

I humbly suggest, that you kindly address the above questions with biblical evidence, as against whipping up sentiment, or employing what many preachers use, and in my opinion, I consider; ’emotional tactics’.

As the Berean Christian that I am, before accepting any doctrine, I research the scriptures to see if it aligns accordingly, with the word of God.

Thank you sir, I hereby extend my highest considerations and best regards. ~FRZ

I started my ministry with one trouser, my wife's shoes has holes” – Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo

Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of Coza Ministry has taken to social media to recount how he started his ministry with just one trouser and holes in his wife’s shoes.

He took to his Instagram page to reveal that himself and his wife walked down the streets of Ilorin, Kwara state to preach the gospel.
He wrote:

“Babe, we walked the streets of Ilorin together looking for people to preach the gospel to. We didn’t have no car, I had just one trouser, we didn’t have technology or finance to increase our reach, there were holes in your shoes. We had to do it one person per time. I’m fully aware that God will reward us for our labor, but I’m also thankful to The Methodist Church in Nigeria for presenting us with this Honorific Award for Evangelism! We haven’t lost that same passion and we never will! We are ever committed to winning souls for Christ!
Thank you Modele for always standing with me and running with the vision! I’m blessed to have you!”

VIDEO: Bishop David Oyedepo Speaks On Tithing At Shiloh 2017

All the saga on tithing, Bishop David Oyedepo finally speaks on it..says it's the only way to open the doors of heaven, no matter the prayers.

Social media user + Celebrities React To A Prayer Point Made By RCCG G.O

A tweet was sent in by the Redeemed Christian Church of God’s Twitter account and its content has left Nigerians including celebrities, awed with the ruthlessness of it.

The tweet, which apparently is a prayer point was directed at the enemies of anyone who is to use the prayer point – cursing them to not see the new year if they were going to be an obstacle to one’s blessing.

There’s been an outcry over this and even celebrities are wondering why so called Christians should be as ruthless as this even when Christ, their example, specifically stated that they pray for their enemies.

and of course, Daddy Freeze reacted: “I bow o! We are gradually departing the era of ‘grace’ and returning to the era of curses! ~FRZ”

What Pastors Are Doing With The Tithes And Offerings They Get — Femi Owolabi reveals

While the issue of tithing appears to be causing ripples and division among Nigerians, an investigative journalist and writer, Femi Owolabi, has come to the defence of some pastors and what they do with the tithes and offerings they get from the church.
Owolabi took to his Facebook account to speak on the trending issue. Below is what he posted…

I live around Yaba area of Lagos. From Sabo down to Iwaya, you see boreholes donated by Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, MFM.
Femi Owolabi
Many months ago, I was working on a report and I needed to carry out some laboratory tests. When I got to University of Lagos’ Chemical Engineering lab, I was directed to the university’s central lab which I gathered is the largest and most equipped. Entering, I saw that the lab was donated by Daniel Olukoya, founder of MFM who is actually an alumnus of the school.
As much as the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, embarrasses itself on the pages of newspaper, CAN runs one of the largest displaced persons camps in the northeast. For three years that I have been mobilizing relief materials for displaced persons in the northeast, aside individuals and a few NGOs, Christian organizations have been a larger donor of relief materials. My phone would ring, and the caller goes, “I am Pastor JJ. We have bags of cloths, please how do we get these to the displaced persons in the northeast?”

Charis Family Church, in 2015, opened its facility as a collection center for relief materials. The pastor, Bayo Adeyinka, and a team raised almost a million naira to sort logistics.

Just yesterday, another pastor whose church’s team once gave me bags of relief materials for IDPs, told me they have 33k left in the account, and he asked what this can sort for the IDPs. He also wants us to meet this week so he can drop with me, bags of relief materials.

A man reached out to me many months ago. He needed information on how he can move 1000 cartons of flour (or wheat?) from Lagos to any of the IDPs camps in the northeast. I did a check on the man, he is a pastor.

In Lagos here, the Catholic Mission and a couple of other missionary hospitals are always on medical outreach to the IDPs.

I understand there is an ongoing debate on whether or not paying tithe is a Christian practice. Sincerely, those arguing against come with strong points. And sadly, responses from Daddy GO and others are so weak, far from convincing.

Get it right, it is the duty of Lagos Water Board to provide water for Lagosians, but MFM now shares in this responsibility. It is the duty of NEMA and the Refugees’ Commission to attend to the victims of insurgency, but CAN and a couple of other Christian organizations share largely in this.

So, above all, if I am paying tithe or giving church my money, I do so because of some of these things I have mentioned in this post

Well here’s another Angle ……

“If you buy a car with a money you didn’t earn lawfully, you’ll be riding in a moving coffin” — Pastor Adeboye

Pastor Adeboye at the opening of RCCG’s Holyghost Congress at the church’s campground yesterday, December 4th said in quote; “If you buy a car with a money you didn’t earn lawfully you’ll be riding in a moving coffin.”

This was also posted via the Official Twitter handle of the Cleric.

Meanwhile, Adeboye once again, spoke on the tithe issue, which which was all started by OAP, Daddy Freeze.

According to Pastor Adeboye, God himself convinced him that tithing was right for Christians.
Recall that in a previous reaction to the tithing controversy, Adeboye warned Christians against the dangers of non- compliance to paying of tithe.

However, the cleric, on Sunday, 3rd December, 2017 edition of his Daily Devotional, titled: “Open Heavens”, said the command to pay tithes on one’s earnings simply places a demand on the Christian to trust God.

Writing on the topic, ‘Tithing Is Trusting’, Adeboye said:

“To experience exploits in your life, you must have a personal relationship with God. You must believe that He lives and love Him with all your heart. You must also learn to trust in Him.

“The command to pay tithes on your earnings simply places a demand on you to trust God. Your response to this command shows the level of trust you have in Him.

“If you can pay your tithes correctly, it shows that you trust God for your livelihood, but if you find it difficult to be faithful in doing this, it simply shows that you trust more in your earning than in God to sustain you.

“After I became newly born again and we were taught to pay tithes, I laughed and said in my mind, ‘These people do not know that I am a mathematician. If 100% is not enough for me, how can 90% be enough after I have paid 10% as tithe? Thank you very much! Even though these people are not educated, they still want to use their smartness to take 10% of my income from me. Let them try and take it’.

“However, down the line, God convinced me by Himself and I observed remarkable changes in my life.

Osinbajo celebrates Pastors Olukoya as the first to clone genes and E .A Adeboye

The General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Enoch Adeboye, is the first Nigerian to acquire a Ph.d Degree in Applied Mathematics from a Nigerian University, according to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

Mr. Osinbajo said this at the 2017 distinguished alumni awards and celebration of University of Lagos at 55 which held at Oriental Hotel, Lagos on Friday.

Apart from Mr. Adeboye, the Vice president also said the pastor and founder of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry, Daniel Olukoya, was the first to clone genes.

“I want to say that UNILAG has proved time and time again to be not just a university of first-choice but also the university of firsts!
“So many firsts in different areas; just reading about Doctor Olukoya, he was the first to clone genes. Hardly anyone would know that the pastor and founder of Mountain of Fire and Miracles was also the first to clone genes. That is an absolutely outstanding thing.

“The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God was also the first Nigerian to get a PhD in a Nigerian university in Applied Mathematics,” he said.

Mr. Osinbajo, who was a professor of law at the University, expressed his delight at being at the occasion, which, he said, afforded him the opportunity to “enjoy the company of many who have either been colleagues or seniors in the same university”.

He also said “it is not often that one gets to celebrate the 55th anniversary of a great institution”.

The vice president said there are so many other firsts in Unilag, adding, “but the most important thing today is to ensure that those firsts do not become the last.

“We must ensure we continue in the great traditions of the University of Lagos and this is why I am so excited to see a lot of committed alumni who want to see to it that our University goes from glory to glory”.

Mr. Osinbajo also said the government alone cannot support universities to the extent that is required, to keep them even at the current levels.
“A lot will have to come from the Alumni and the private sector. That’s how great universities all over the world are run.
“I am so excited to see that our fund raising project is one that has clearly shown the way to go with respect to developing our University,” he said.

The vice president congratulated those who were given awards at the ceremony.
He also prayed that all those present will also be around when the university continues to celebrate milestones.

He said: “There was a mid-air crisis, there was serious turbulence, but there was no apprehension. Jesus took control. He landed the plane safely. And we were just celebrating the faithfulness of God.

MFM Church Denied 8 Members Arrested For Drug Trafficking in Cambodia Are Not Their Member

Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Church (MFM), has denied that eight Nigerians arrested by Cambodian authorities for alleged drug trafficking are its members.

Eight Nigerians were on Tuesday arraigned in Cambodia for allegedly using the MFM premises to deal in illicit drugs.

The accused were: Nnamezie Victor, 30; Francis Nnamdi, 30; Sunday Nwabuisi, 31; Tony Mmaduka Chukwuonye, 34; Okorom Kizito, 35; Favour Nnabuife Okorom, 36; Maduka Simon Ukandu, 37; and Izuchukwu Chukwuma, 40.
Also charged along with them is a Cambodian, Mon Vinyong, 25.

They may face life imprisonment if found guilty by the Phnom Penh Municipal Court, in a case that began in January last year. A verdict is expected in September following a final trial last week.
Reacting to the claim that the Cambodian branch of the church was used to trade in drugs, Chairman of MFM Media Committee Worldwide, Oladele Bank-Olemoh, told SUNDAY PUNCH that the accused were not members of the church.

He said linking the accused to the church was an attempt to drag the name of the church through the mud.

“The MFM church is not shut down. Our pastor is there and he’s busy in the ministry. Those arrested are not members of the church. They are neither our missionaries nor workers in the church. The MFM church is the only African church in Cambodia that many black people attend.

“You know the country is a Muslim country. This could be a vendetta against the church. This case (of alleged drug trafficking) happened in 2014. The church was searched and nothing was found, though arrests were made outside the church. We employed a lawyer to prove the church’s innocence,” Bank-Olemoh said.

According to The Cambodia Daily, during the hearing, Vinyong claimed that she received mobile phone boxes from Chukwuonye in 2014 but did not know the boxes were filled with drugs.
The Cambodian publication noted that the eight Nigerians “operated out of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Church in Meanchey district in 2014 and early 2015.”

The court heard that the pair became friends after meeting at the church.
“At the end of October and early November, I delivered the goods two or three times, and in December I delivered them one more time,” she said, adding that she was paid $100 per day for acting as a courier.
