Reports have it that the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Adamu Mu’azu, has resigned as Chairman of the party.
Mu’azu made the announcement in a letter to the party on Wednesday.
In a letter reportedly addressed to the party’s Deputy National Chairman, Uche Secondus, Mu’azu said that he was leaving office because of the party’s defeat in the March 28 presidential election, for peace to reign in the party.
He asked Secondus to take over as acting national chairman, in line with the party’s constitution.
