Singer Taylor Swift’s Grammar Lesson To Fan Who Tries To Correct Her

_83553166_83553164It takes a brave fan to correct Taylor Swift. But that’s what Maddy Werch tried to do and the singer responded with a grammar lesson of her own.

Maddy posted on Tumblr about a missing apostrophe in a handwritten lyric on one of Taylor’s 1989 album photos.

She wrote: “uh, taylor there’s supposed to be an apostrophe s on its btw”.

Taylor then posted explaining that the apostrophe had blended into the Y above it, before suggesting three corrections to Maddy’s post!

“But if we’re all being all fancy with grammar tonight, btw would’ve had a comma before it.

“And the ‘U’ is ‘uh’ would’ve been capitalised. And there would’ve been some sort of punctuation at the end of the sentence.”

She went on to make it clear that her response was all in good humour, even calling herself Andy Grammar. No bad blood then, phew!

This isn’t the first time Taylor’s shown her unhappiness over grammar mistakes.

In March, she pointed out that US examiners had misquoted one of her lyrics in a grammar test which asked students to spot errors in pop lyrics.

“Not the right lyrics at all pssshhhh,” Taylor wrote. “You had one job, test people.”

The Princeton Review then apologized for the mistake.
