iPhone 7 features
Apple is expected to announce the upcoming iPhone 7 next year, and as such, a great deal of speculation on the handset's purported features is appearing every now and then on the Internet. The latest is a new concept video that not only shows the new Apple flagship's design but also gives a hint on features such as the camera, display and chip.

The concept video was made by designers Ivo Maric and Tomislav Rastovac. According to the video, the new iPhone 7 will have a 2.5D sapphire glass HD Retina display, a new Apple A10 chip and a 16 MP iSight camera. It also introduces the Apple Dock, which the video touts as a new way of connecting devices. Through the Apple Dock, users can easily sync all of their files and charge their device wirelessly.

A closer look at the video shows that the concept device carries a handful of design features that fans loved from older iPhone versions such as the iPhone 4 and 4s. There are also indications of design elements found in the iPhone 6.

The iPhone 4 and 4s are often touted as Apple's most beautifully designed smartphones. Their iconic glass backs are carried over to the iPhone 7 concept video, including the handsets' encompassing flat metal frame. Notice how the iPhone 7's 2.5D sapphire glass blends gently within the purported metal frame feature.

It's interesting to note how a concept video on the iPhone 7 has already been made given the fact that Apple has yet to release the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus this year. The two handsets are expected to bear the familiar external features of the current iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus flagships.

It remains to be seen whether Apple will pursue the glass design concept on the iPhone 7's front and back panels and incorporate it with flat aluminum edges. Of course, glass as a material is totally different from aluminum. However, the idea of designing the iPhone 7 with glass on the front and back has received a mixed response from Apple fans.

This is just a concept video, a teaser of what to expect in the next Apple flagship. As the world is filled with talented designers, it wouldn't be surprising to find more of these concept videos being concocted from time to time.
