APC party is too sectional and discriminatory I regret defecting to APC – Saraki

THE embattled Senate President and former governor of Kwara State, Senator Bukola Saraki, has stylishly recounted how frustration led him and host of other former governors to the All Progressive Congress (APC) from their former political party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), describing the defection as at then as the only way but now the hard way.


Saraki, who was reacting to a release credited to the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, Barr. Gboyega Oguntuase, through one of his Kwara based Aides (name withheld), said his exit from PDP was caused by the former president Goodluck Jonathan and the leadership of the ruling party (PDP) then.

“We never defected from PDP to APC willingly, but it was the only alternative left for us as at when we took the step. We felt cheated and we never knew we were heading to a big fold of conspiracy where clashes of interest will be taken beyond party crises to law court like I’m witnessing right now.
“To dissect what Ekiti PDP Chairman advised, those planning to join our party should think twice and know that their interests may not be expressly welcomed as maybe expected.

 There is superiority in APC and we are working on how to drum in egalitarianism as leaders of the party.

“Frankly speaking, it is no longer lucrative to defect from the PDP to the APC, because the party is too “sectional and discriminative” to accommodate defectors,” Senator Saraki diplomatically warned potential defectors.
