The 18-year-old was enjoying a day out at Jump Nation trampoline centre with friends and family and asked staff to keep the watch safe.
But after finishing the session, which cost £8.95, the England forward forgot to collect his Rolex Day Date II
When he contacted Jump Nation, based near Manchester United's Old Trafford stadium, the £50,000-a-week player, was told a man who claimed to be a relative had already asked for it.
The watch, one of Rashford's first big purchases, was bought to mark his first season with the club's first team.
Police looked through CCTV from the centre and arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of fraud. He was released on bail.
A spokesman for Jump Nation said they were helping officers with their enquiries.
Rashford's form propelled him into the England squad for European Championships in France.
