The actor who is currently in Liberia on a movie shot took to his Instagram page to pour encomium on his lovely wife, Adjoa who turned 40 yesterday 24th Jan 2017. The actor uses powerful expressions to convey his happy birthday message to his soul mate. Here is what he wrote:

I look forward to Jan 24th every year for the past 22years. It's a special day in my life, the birthday of my soul mate. Today you turn 40. Today your life 'begins' and I am glad to be a part of it, STILL. There are times we disagree on issues but you just know how to get your way; that's your negotiating quality. How you manage, home, kids, work and my baggage is the super mom quality you possess.
You have made some mistakes and a load of good decisions; your analytical quality. It seems you just get better every year hahaha and tougher. You have grown from that teenager to this beautiful and amazing woman. At 40 today, I want you to know how much the kids and I count on you, for real. You just MAKE IT HAPPEN IN OUR LIVES. We pray the good Lord keeps you around for an even longer period. @40 comes with its own female challenges...but who cares.
Okay let me rephrase that cos I know you care, lol. @40 comes with its own female challenges but we (I)love you all the same. Baby, I don't mind going through all the boxing drills, the squats, etc. just remember if they all fail I will still be by your side. Loving you is way beyond what I see. Our 3 beautiful kids remind me everyday. We love all of you and look forward to spending more years ahead. You bring joy to us all. You are the BEST lady, wife, mother, friend in the whole wide World. Happy birthday baby and God continue to Bless you. #ygf

FIFA appoints NFF President, Pinnick into Organising Committee for Competitions

World football –ruling body, FIFA, has named the President of Nigeria Football Federation, Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick, into one of its most important committees – the Organising Committee for Competitions.
Hitherto, the world body had different committees for organization of its several competitions, including the FIFA World Cup, FIFA Confederations Cup, FIFA Women’s World Cup, FIFA U20 World Cup, FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup, FIFA U17 World Cup, FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.
Pinnick was a member of the Organising Committee for the FIFA U20 World Cup.However, at its 66th Congress in Mexico City on 12th– 13th May 2016, and in accordance with the revised FIFA Statutes that came into force on 27th April 2016, the model of the standing committees was reviewed, cutting the number from 26 to 9.

The new model has only the following committees: Governance, Finance, Development, Member Associations, Referees, Players’ Status, Football Stakeholders, Medical, Organising Committee for FIFA Competitions.

Pinnick’s letter of appointment, dated 18th January 2017 and signed by Fatma Samoura, the Secretary General, read inter alia: “We are very pleased to inform you that you have been appointed as a member of the Organising Committee for FIFA Competitions. We wish you our sincere congratulations on this appointment.

“The FIFA administration is at your disposal through the following Administration Officer, who will be in contact with you regarding the upcoming meetings and any further aspects relating to your office as a member of this committee: Colin Smith, Chief Competitions Officer.
“We wish you great success and enjoyment in this role at FIFA and look forward to welcoming you soon to Zurich.”

The Organising Committee for FIFA Competitions is headed by Aleksander Ceferin, President of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). The tenure of members is for 2017-2021. In line with the new FIFA reforms, each proposed member of any of the committees was made to go through a comprehensive integrity check conducted by several organizations of global relevance and stature.

Pinnick’s appointment, and in particular the thorough and painstaking checks that he passed with full marks, is a big thumbs –up for Nigerian Football, and puts out the light on the unsavory innuendoes and deliberate mischief of a few individuals intent on putting the country’s game under a cloud.

As a member of the CAF Organising Committee for the Africa Cup of Nations, Pinnick is presently at the 31st Africa Cup finals ongoing in Gabon, and will be match commissioner for Saturday’s potentially –explosive West African derby between Mali and Ghana.

The new member of the Organising Committee for FIFA Competitions, who swivelled through the ranks of football administration (from board member to second vice chairman, first vice chairman and chairman of Delta State Football Association, to Executive Chairman of Delta State Sports Commission before his election as President of Nigeria Football Federation in September 2014), is also a candidate for election into the Executive Committee of Confederation of African Football.

The CAF elections will take place at the 39th Ordinary General Assembly of the organization in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on 16th March.

Why President Buhari Was Not Invited To Donald Trump's Inauguration

The argument started after ex-President Goodluck Jonathan was invited to the inauguration of Donald Trump, the new American President, and Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, described the non-extension of invitation to President Muhammadu Buhari as a clear signal that Buhari does not enjoy international relevance.

However, the Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu dismissed insinuations, saying that Buhari was not snubbed because the United States does not invite world leaders to the inauguration of its presidents.

Hurry-Up Get Help, MMM Nigeria Is Back - We are now open!!!

After the officially frozen of mmm-Nigeria participant account months ago, the ponzi scheme has release a statement on its website which read, We are now open!!! See full detail below.

Dear members,

The holidays are over, and we''re now open. Just as promised. (You might have already noticed that we always stick to our promises. :-)) Actually, we promised to be open on January 14, but we''re open now, January 13, as you can see, which is a day earlier. (Well, I hope, the members of the System will forgive us for that. :-))

It''s related to the hysteria raised by the authorities and the mass media around MMM. By joining forces, they''ve managed to nearly give the members of the System a heart attack and have frightened them out of their wits. Poor souls don''t know what to expect. Will we open again or not? :-))

This is why we''ve decided, considering the situation, to reach out to the members, reassure and cheer them up by opening a little earlier. After all, Together We Can Change The World! :-))

Here we go.

1. As of this notice, MMM resumes its usual operation. You can now create your GH-requests.

2. However, it''s obvious that panic will reign in the first few days after the re-opening of the System. We’re likely to be deluged by GH-requests. Therefore, we''re going to make gradual paybacks by setting internal output limits. In other words, we will only pay a certain amount per day. Please, be prepared to wait for a couple of days. We are certain things will then calm down, and the System operation will return to normal.

We''re the ones setting the limits, so it''s completely under our control, and we are not expecting any emergencies in principle. Have no fear and go on about your business as usual. :-))

As the System is socially oriented, we will make paybacks to the poor and the economically disadvantaged in the first place: it means to the members with small PH amounts. The richer can wait. Moreover, we''ve warned you repeatedly to only provide help with amounts that are not critical for you. Therefore, if these large amounts are not critical for them (the richer), they can wait a few days. No need to be tragic about it. :-))

This is the way it''s going to be.

Hoping for your kind understanding, Sergey Mavrodi. We Change The World!

P. S. I''d like again to call on the authorities and the mass media: Please, leave us alone! Have mercy on people.

China might refuse to give Nigeria $20bn loan (Read)

Buhari meet with the Chinese president Xi Jinping in 2016

The Chinese government might refuse to approve a $20 billion concession loan earlier promised Nigeria.

According to The Guardian, a source in the Nigerian presidency has revealed that the FG was quite keen on getting the loan since the relationship between Nigeria and China, had improved.

There will be a disappointment when signs appeared that the money might be withheld. The reasons given include the multiple negative growth recorded in the Nigerian economy in 2016.

It is a very obvious that their might be a loss of confidence in Nigeria’s credit worthiness by the global financial community.

and other levels of assistance from the Chinese government.

“This is not to say we have given up though. We had set up an inter-ministerial committee working closely with the Chinese government officials as well as the China Exim Bank experts.

“They may have their reasons, but we are determined to fulfill our end of the bargain, and the Federal Government has already appropriated large sums for payment of counterpart funds on key projects to enable us to commence work proper.”

Last year, there was high hopes that the concession loan and other categories of financial assistance from China would be approved early, President Muhammadu Buhari led a delegation to Beijing in April last year to make a strong case for the country.

However, economic experts who visited Nigeria for physical assessment advised the Chinese government to exercise caution, citing the shrinking economy and falling value of the naira.

These experts also spoke of the high risks in perting the loan to projects not specified in the agreement and requested a direct monitoring of the projects, in addition to the need for full compilation of all current trade agreements between the two countries till date.

The team of experts, who were from China Exim Bank had also expressed fear of possible mismanagement of the funds and requested an overhaul of some of the priority areas presented by the Federal Government for examination on their viability and sustainability.

Despite all this, a ministry official, who reportedly sent a text message to The Guardian, said: “All appropriate loan prospecting options by the federal ministry of finance are on course, and are undergoing normal process of negotiation.”

Meanwhile, the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi has blamed the Nigerian government for the current economic situation.

Sanusi who served as the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), during the administration of Goodluck Jonathan said this during the15th meeting of the joint planning board and national council on development planning.

Five Notable Moments Of Stephen Keshi’s Football Career

It is with great sorrow that all of the football fans across the continent heard the sad news: Stephen Keshi, Nigeria’s former captain and coach passed away. Keshi, who played in five African Cup of Nations with the Super Eagles and who later coached the team over four spells will be remembered as an outstanding player and as one of Africa’s most respected football managers. Here are 5 moments of his incredible career.

1. NIGERIA’S SECOND CONTINENTAL TROPHY
14 years after the Super Eagles won their first African Cup of Nations (AFCON) trophy, Keshi captained the team to a second continental title in Tunisia in 1994.

2. A WORLD CUP FINALS APPEARANCE
A few months after winning the AFCON, Nigeria took part in the 1994 FIFA World Cup tournament organized in the U.S. The Super Eagles reached the second round before losing to Italy.

3. TOGO’S FIRST WORLD CUP FINALS PARTICIPATION
“Big Boss” like many used to call him, coached the Togolese national team between 2004 and 2006. He led them to their first World Cup participation in Germany in 2006.

4. THE FIRST TROPHY AS A COACH
In 2011, after he became coach of the Nigerian Super Eagles, Keshi helped his team qualify to the 2013 AFCON. Nigeria defeated Burkina Faso 1-0 and was crowned African champions making Stephen Keshi the second manager in history to win the AFCON both as a player and as a coach.

5. BACK TO THE WORLD CUP FINALS
On 18 November 2013, when Nigeria qualified to FIFA World Cup organized in Brazil, Stephen Keshi set another record. Nigeria was the first African country to win the AFCON trophy and to qualify for the World Cup finals. And if that was not prestigious enough, he was also the first African coach to successfully qualify two African nations (Nigeria and Togo) to the World Cup Finals.

The legendary player and coach passed away from a cardiac arrest at the age of 54 in Benin City, Nigeria. He is survived by four children.
